Prescriptions

Many patients require repeated supplies of medication in order to maintain their wellbeing.

In order to ensure that your repeat prescription will be ready for you when you come to the practice to collect it, please place your order at least 24hrs in advance, more notice will be required over weekends and bank holidays.

Please note that if your pet is on long term medication, then we will need to re-examine them every 6 months but this may vary with individual circumstances and product types. This is to ensure that the treatment they are receiving is still suitable, and being given at an appropriate dose for their condition. There will be a charge for this re-examination.

Non-prescription products such as flea treatments, wormers and ear cleaners can simply be purchased from us during our normal practice opening hours.

We follow the British Veterinary Association’s code of Practice on unused Medicines which states that once stock has been dispensed, it should not be accepted back into the dispensary.  This means that once you have collected any medicine and taken it away from our premises, we cannot provide refunds for any medication returned to the practice.  We can safely dispose of any unwanted medication at your request.
